Dear BRBs,
I’ve become bored with my workout routine – I go to the gym, run on the treadmill, lift a few weights, and go home. Any ideas to spice up my workout?

Dear Bored,
I can sympathize with your boredom – I hate the gym! I look for classes to liven up my workout. Currently, I love Bar Method classes. I’ve found that they are entertaining, effective, and fun! Go with a few girlfriends and make the class a night out. Other options are spinning classes, Crossfit, yoga, and the list goes on! Classes can get expensive, so if you’re on a budget try podcasts (here is a yoga podcast) or dvds (P90X, bar method). Remember – before you try any new exercise routines make sure to check with your doctor first. BRB readers do you have any other suggestions?

You should download the Nike Training Club app available on both the iphone and android network! It has plenty of workouts to keep you motivated and engaged

You Are Your Own Gym by Mark Lauren.
I have the book, I have the book for women “Body By You” and I have the YAYOG DVD that just came out this year. This is not for sissies but the workouts are quick and if you put in the time, you will get results.
(No affiliation. I am an old fart who is not easily impressed. I only share because I think this is worth it.)

Thanks Lorwill…when I get over my exercise allergy, I’ll have to try it out :) …I prefer quick and intense over slow and easy.
